Ontario Quarter Horse racing switches to
Monday afternoons on September 10 at Ajax Downs and if history is an indication, big payoffs await bettors.
Longshots have been rolling in at Ajax Downs in recent weeks leading to huge payoffs in popular bets such as the superfecta (select the top four finishers), Pick 4 (select the winners of four consecutive races) and Pick 5 (winners of five straight races).
Last week there were superfecta payoffs of $4,600, $3,500 and $900 for a $2 bet but all of these wagers can be played for as little 20 cents.
This Monday's nine-race card offers some intriguing handicapping puzzles including an enticing Pick 4 on races six through nine. The talented filly SILKY SENATOR, trained by Jason Pascoe of Pontypool, figures to be a 'key' horse to start off the wager in race six.
Fans in attendance on Mondays will have a chance to win betting vouchers and prizes. Post time for the first race is 12:55 p.m.
